Dinner
An old fashioned comfort food that I can't remember the first time I had some. It's great in the summer and especially good on a cold winter's night.
Granny Mae Wisdom--Doc, life is going to kill me, eventually. If I have to die, I'm going out with a Coke in one hand and fried chicken in the other.
Chicken, ain't chicken without mashed potatoes! I have that recipe on another page!
Fried Chicken
Raw Chicken Pieces (washed)
4 Eggs (Beaten)
2 Tbsp Milk
Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup All-purpose Flour
1/4 Cup Seasoned Panko
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Poultry Seasoning
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
2 Cups Vegetable Oil for frying
1. Mix Flour and Panko together in a shallow bowl or pan and set aside.
2. Mix Eggs and Milk together in a shallow bowl or pan and set aside.
3. Preheat oil to 350 (175 degrees C)..
4. Coat Chicken with Worcestershire Sauce.
5. Dredge Chicken through the egg wash.
6. Coat Chicken with Garlic Powder, Poultry Seasoning, Salt & Pepper.
7. Coat Chicken with flour & Panko.
8. Turning frequently, fry Chicken, until golden brown, and juices run clear. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
9. Serve!
